With over 25 years of experience, Dr Dinesh Rao is passionate about creating a calm, stress-free dental experience where patients feel relaxed, comfortable, and never rushed. Known for his gentle and thorough approach, he takes the time to listen to patients’ concerns, clearly explain treatment options, and help them make informed decisions with confidence. Patients appreciate his honesty, attention to detail, and caring chairside manner.
Dr Dinesh is committed to ongoing professional development and regularly attends continued education courses in Australia and overseas to further expand his clinical knowledge and skills.
Outside of dentistry, Dinesh enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, Avni and Anvay. He also has a passion for travelling, photography, cooking, and music.
Dr Ben Chen

Dr Ben Chen is committed to providing thoughtful, patient-focused dental care for individuals and families across the Bendigo community. Originally from Shepparton and a graduate of La Trobe University, Dr Ben brings a calm and approachable manner to every appointment, with a strong focus on trust, communication, and personalised care.
His professional interests include many areas of general dentistry, particularly crowns, root canal treatment, tooth extractions, and the use of nitrous oxide to support anxious patients during treatment. Dr Ben believes patients should feel informed, comfortable, and supported throughout every stage of their care, and he takes the time to understand each individual’s concerns and treatment goals.
Before joining Integrated Smiles Bendigo, Dr Ben worked within community dental services across Victoria, where he gained experience caring for patients from a wide range of backgrounds and age groups. These experiences strengthened his patient-first approach and reinforced the importance of accessible and supportive dental care.
Outside of dentistry, Dr Ben enjoys painting, writing humorous stories, exercising, reading, and exploring local food and restaurants.
Dr Penny Teo

Dr Penny Teo earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Adelaide and is passionate about providing calm, supportive, and patient-focused dental care. Known for her gentle and empathetic approach, she takes the time to help patients feel comfortable, informed, and at ease throughout their treatment.
Dr Penny has 5 years of experience and a special interest in smile makeovers, wisdom teeth extractions, temporomandibular disorders (TMD), sleep apnoea, and caring for anxious patients. She is committed to ongoing professional development and delivering high-quality, modern dental care tailored to each patient’s needs.
Peter Ashman

Peter Ashman is a highly experienced Dental Prosthetist who has supported patients throughout the Bendigo community for 40 years with denture care and tooth replacement solutions. Born and raised in Bendigo, Peter values building long-term relationships with patients through honest communication, personalised care, and practical guidance.
With extensive experience as both a dental technician and dental prosthetist, Peter has a detailed understanding of the technical and functional aspects involved in designing, adjusting, and maintaining dentures. He provides support across a range of treatments, including full dentures, partial dentures, relines, repairs, and implant-supported denture options, with a strong focus on comfort, fit, appearance, and everyday function.
Peter understands that denture concerns can affect confidence, eating, and speaking, which is why he takes the time to understand each patient’s needs and explain treatment options clearly and professionally.
